Approximately 20 percent of adult dogs have osteoarthritis, and 45 percent of cats experience arthritic pain. That’s according to the Morris Animal Foundation, which has supported several studies on arthritis-related issues. Veterinarians can offer medications and treatments to help ease the pain associated with arthritis, but what can pet owners do at home to make their arthritic pets’ lives more comfortable?
